Pottstown Dance Theatre Repertory Ensemble

The PDT Repertory Ensemble was founded by Artistic Director Michelle Jones Wurtz in 2012. The ensemble has received numerous grants from the PA Council on the Arts, PECO Energy and from various anonymous donors. Grants are awarded to innovative and socially impactful arts organizations across the region. In addition to various community outreach programs, PDTRE has performed at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, the Olympic Games in London, the Philadelphia Youth Dance Festival, Theatre Horizon in Norristown, Kaleidoscope Performing Arts Center at Urisinus College, as well as locally at Pottstown High School, Boyertown High School, and the Hill School Center for the Arts, The PDTRE annually mounts a full production of "The Nutcracker", a full-scale original dance production every spring at a local theater, a student composition concert featuring original student choreography, and a community favorite – the bi-annual "Haunted Dance Theater". The Ensemble is for students who want to perform more frequently and/or want a serious background in dance.
